Unique Wellness Studio

This was my second re-build of an iWeb project gone astray. The old site had video and audio content where the viewer had no control of it. The files were also huge using no web formatting so it would take a long time for the pages to load. I re-compressed all existing elements to an appropriate web format for quick loading. I also re-coded the site using current web standards removing all depreciated and bloated code for future expansion or improvements on the site. Due to budget restraints all body copy was left in its picture form from the previous site.

Tyson Media Productions

This site was built using existing content from an old site built using iWeb. Due to problems related to using iWeb the old site needed to be tossed and re-built from scratch.
Video needed to be viewed and the user needed to be able to upload easily and quickly. We decided to use Vimeo to host the video and just embed the player on the current site for two reasons: Bandwidth limitations with current hosting package as some of the videos are shot in HD and for Search Engine Optimization.

Canadian Rugby Foundation

The Canadian Rugby Foundation is looking to incrementally improve their web presence.  They previously had a standard HTML template and wanted to get into some database archiving and multimedia.  There are going to be multiple phases to this project and we have complete phase one (getting the site up and running with player profiles) and have started on phase two creating data tables for previously international capped players that display on their profile with out duplicating the entry.  I expect this to launch early 2010 - probably after the Olympics.

Vancouver Delta Gamma Alumnae

This project involved integrating a lot of features.  This started as a standard template theme and then after design was finalized the thought of drop down menus was explored which involved a complete rework of the theme and code.  The object of this site is to get their message out there, encourage membership and eventually expand to an integral part of their organization having user contributed content.

Coquitlam Concrete Products ltd

The features of this site include an photo gallery and database driven content. Information is input and automatically sorted into appropraite categories.

Allard Sand and Gravel ltd.

This website features a dynamic photo gallery for their products and numerous static pages for relaying information.  This site has the ability to grow and eventually be a mainstay in this company's day to day operations.

UBC Rugby

UBC Rugby needed a practical site to put forth information and for potential new members.  It needed to be easy to update and have multiple user able to access restricted content.  Only site administrators can create new users and the members are used for creating the rosters for each game.

Some of the features included are image galleries that are easy to create and automatically filed under the appropriate menu item, the ability to announce upcoming practices and event and distinguish between games and events in the games section and combine them in the calendar section.

This site has plans to grow and has the capabilities.  Some project in the works are archives of past players, archives of past results and mailing list for current players and alumni.

Vancouver Fraser Valley Rugby Referees Society

This is a not for profit organization.  Their executive was extensively involved in the development.  There was a standard theme used for the look of this site with the intent of it being further developed.  This site serves as a recruitment tool and information portal for Rugby Enthusiasts.

Out-N-Aboat

This project was on a tight budget. The client is starting up their own charter boat company in the Caribbean and needed a site to promote their upcoming season - fast. They needed a high google ranking and more importantly they wanted to be first and above their competitors when searched on a search Engine. As a cost saving measure, the input all the content with a couple training sessions it was easy and quick to update and didn't have to worry about paying a web developer every time something needed to be changed.
